America’s former beloved father has hit the scene once again and this time, he’s jumping upon the Trump Train.
The 79 year old comedian held his tongue on the 2016 election, and rightfully so considering he’s been embroiled in litigation for most of the year. But it wasn’t until recently that the former Ghost Dad star spoke up and spoke his mind. According to the aging Cosby, “I understand exactly what he’s going through. Often times, when you’re well off or you’ve made something of yourself in this world, there are those who will do whatever it takes to get what you have or to bring you back down to their level”. His support for Trump comes as a shock to all, but his words revive the all but lost stories of Cosby accusers who’ve recently reinvigorated tales of the comedy great’s sordid past.
Cosby is well known on the hill. As winner of the Mark Twain Prize for American humor and one of few with the esteemed honor of the Navy Memorial Lone Sailor Award, Cosby’s made his rounds about town.
Cosby and Clinton share a laugh at a press conference in the 90s
His familiarity with DC elites is what earned him the nickname “Honest Bill” and allowed him to build a relationship with former president Bill Clinton, a relationship that held strong until recently. Cosby recalls how he and President Clinton engaged in “locker room talk” from time to time and has been known to make light of Trump’s most recent gaff saying, “Truly, if those tapes were lewd, I might as well cancel my 2020 bid right now. The tapes were bad, sure. But they were recorded while he was a private citizen”. With Secretary Clinton hot on the campaign trail and Trump hot on her kitten heels, America’s favorite politicians haven’t had the time to respond to these allegations by the Cos, but political insiders claim both candidates can expect more stories like this in the days to come.
